is as much a statement on the current status and position of architecture within the public realm as it is an exploration and conversation on geometric principles within the current practice of computer aided design. With the public's adornment of "starchitect's" many overlook or have forgotten the fact we are - like doctors and lawyers - everywhere as part of the community with 85% of all practicing professionals existing within small firms and operating as fiduciaries for our clients. Through the ambiguity and subjective nature of design, we have allowed our trade to be forgotten, along with the benefits that our services provide, the benefit of good design for everyday people through the self-perpetuating architectural norm glorifying the "starchitect."
If the future exists within the younger generation than it was the aim of this project to educate the young through exploration, occupation, and interaction the value of architectural design. Through physical interaction, exploration, and examination of an object within its built system, knowledge can be gained, and opinions changed. Allowing for an individual's perception of good design to be altered for the better, while teaching on a 1:1 basis what the profession of architecture is truly about.
To enhance this concept, we allow the form to undergo continual evolution through its adaptive design which accommodates a variety of needs and programmatic types. Changing daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly based on the inhabitants desire and the current state of architectural understanding within the occupant. With such an evolution an ever increasing number of people can have their perception changed resulting in the re-appreciation and a deeper understanding towards the value of good design.
